The Angel 5500 is a juicer unlike any other, offering a level of quality in both its build and performance that is completely unmatched. Made entirely out of SUS-304 stainless steel, it utilises an optimised twin gear mechanism to extract incredible yields of the highest quality juice while remaining easy to use, clean and assemble.
When it comes to Angel juicers, their greatest strength is their performance, which is generally regarded as being far superior to any other juicer currently available in the UK. Numerous different factors contribute to this advantage, but Angel’s custom twin gear mechanism is the most important.
Designed to extract maximum yields, the Angel mechanism is much longer than its peers, increasing the contact time for ingredients with the gears and screen. This, in turn, allows for more thorough processing, as juice can be extracted over a greater distance.
Additionally, the intense pressure exerted by the fully stainless steel components helps to ensure optimal vitamin and mineral extraction, which results in a higher quality juice with greater nutritional value.
Together, these features push Angel juicers to the forefront in terms of juicing performance and they can handle most common ingredient types with ease while specialising in tough ingredients such as leafy greens and celery.
Beyond its incredible juicing performance, the 5500 also makes a mark with the overall experience it offers and in terms of cleaning and assembly, it leads the field. Since it only has 4 parts, both of those processes are incredibly streamlined and can be completed in little time.
Additionally, to make cleaning in particular as easy as possible, the Angel 5500 is also equipped with some very handy accessories in the form of a screen cleaning knife and a wire brush, which make removing pulp from the juicing screen very quick and easy.
Continuing with its theme of excellence, the Angel 5500 also boasts one of the highest levels of build quality we’ve seen to date. All of the juicing parts and even the body are made of SUS-304 food-grade stainless steel. As a result, they are highly resistant to wear and are effectively impossible to damage through normal juicing.
The use of stainless steel, also reduces the range of motion of the parts, ensuring that the pressure is applied to ingredients and not to connector points, increasing the longevity of the mechanism's effectiveness.
Last of all, the 5500 has a minimalist and sleek design that endeavours to showcase its stainless steel build. The polished surfaces of the body and parts provide a truly premium finish and their metal build makes them a lot more scratch resistant than plastic alternatives.
* Please be advised that the Silicone Ring (that fits around the screen), Coarse Screen (for better juicing of soft fruits like citrus fruits, pineapple, melon, berries etc), Nut Butter Screen (for making nut butters), Premium Cleaning Brush & Replacement Kit (to replace the bush retainers) are optional accessories as detailed in the manual and hence, not listed above. The silicone ring is not covered under warranty as it is an optional part as detailed in the manual.
** Angel have recently updated the packaging for their juicers and they now come with two internal boxes labelled 1 and two labelled 4. One of the boxes labelled 1 consists of the Fine Screen and the other box is empty as a packing filler. The two boxes labelled 4, one contains the pulp and juice containers and again the second one is empty and used as a packing filler.
The Angel juicer utilises a fully stainless steel, dual-gear juicing mechanism that provides unmatched yields. Since the whole juicer is made from stainless steel, it is also incredibly durable and can withstand juicing harder ingredients like no other juicer on the market.
Since the juicing parts are made from stainless steel, they are resistant to rust or any form of corrosion.
TA twin-gear juicer uses two gears instead of a signal auger to squeeze ingredients, applying more pressure, generating an unparalleled yield and producing extremely dry pulp.
The angel juicer comes with just 3 juicing parts; the twin gears, fine screen, and splash guard. Hence, it follows a very easy and logical assembly process which you can watch here
Watch NowI was a bit concerned spending over £1000 on a juicer, but given the concerns over micro plastics I thought it a good move - especially seeing all the plastic wear on the vertical juicer I was using. Very quick to assemble, the only issue is the tipping of the machine when pushing any items onto the gears - easily resolved using your other hand to hold the machine down. I was a bit concerned that maybe I was applying too much pressure initially, but the machine seems happy enough and only once has it stopped as a safety measure that I'm overloading the gear. A quick press of reverse and good to go again. It seems to struggle a bit with apple skin, no doubts because they present a smooth surface, but a gentle plunger press and no issues. Kale and spinach is gobbles up along with celery that self feeds, but doesn't block the mechanism - superb! The waste, whilst not completely dry, is certainly a huge improvement over my Omega vertical juicer, and there is nothing I can squeeze from the remains. Cleaning initially seemed a concern, but the brush down both gear housings and a wash of the gears and that's pretty much it. Certainly much easier than an auger with housing and other nooks an crannies that could possibly build up dregs. Also I notice my juice now doesn't separate like it used to - so no heavier particles in a suspension. No plastic, good juice, likely last beyond my lifetime - worth every penny.
very good juicer, juices practically everything. only produce it doesn’t do well with is pineapple even with the coarse screen i have found, other than that, I would highly recommend !
We have been using a Greenstar 2000 juicer for the last 14 years and have replaced it last month for the Angel 5500. The feeding chute is slightly smaller but it makes up for it with sharper twin gear blades and a higher yield through better extraction. The pulp is bone dry! We are juicing a mixture of vegetables and fruit on a daily basis and I expect the higher price will be justified through the higher yield in no time. Built quality is very solid and cleaning very easy. If you are looking for a twin gear juicer with the best yield this one is for you!
This juicer is just magnificent. Pulp is completely dry juicing hard items like carrots - it really is like sawdust. I've not given it anything yet that it can't handle from soft fruits like pineapple to hard vegetables like beetroot. Best of all there is no pulp in the juice at all which compared to my previous vertical masticating juicer is a night and day difference - I used to have to sieve everything as I don't like any pulp. Yield is also way higher. There is no such things as a perfect juicer, but I think the Angel 5500 is as close as you'll get.
the Omega 5500 twin gear is the best juicer I have ever owned. Over the course of 30+ years I've tried every kind on the market including the allegedly top of the line Norwalk. The Omega 5500 is not cheap but it is without a doubt the most efficient juicer on the market today. The juice is free of fibre, the cleanup is quick and easy and the pulp is like sawdust. If you are simply thinking about including more juice in your diet by all means by a cheaper model. But if your health is suffering and you are looking to make a lifestyle change this is definitely the machine you need. I love the speed, the efficiency and the quality of the Omega 5500 and I'm so glad I made the investment.
I simply love my new juicer. It is so easy to use and very quick to clean with only three parts. The juice produced is of exceptional quality, it tastes live unlike the juices available in supermarkets that have added flavourings and preservatives. It is worth every penny. Its a longterm investment and its obvious from the build quality that the juicer will last a lifetime.
